Avocado face mask

Avocados are very rich in healthy fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins that can improve your skin from the inside, this is why I use avocado has a face mask and since I have been using it, I have realised that it has many benefits for my skin, this is the more reason to eat one of natures healthiest foods.

Avocados face masks are free from a chemical, which makes them less allergic and skin irritating than the many store-bought beauty products; it is a very natural source.  This implies that they are inexpensive and can be easily made at home.

Face masks using avocado as an ingredient are good for those who are having acne prone as well as dry or sensitive skin, this is because it has helped me to be free from acne and dry skin, as the face mask reaches inner layers of my skin to improve elasticity.

My DIY Avocado Face Mask for Dry Skin.

Avocado honey face mask
  •  I really like this face mask as it is easy to make and it uses only 2 natural ingredients, which are avocados and honey. They both act like natural moisturizers and they work very well with my skin, as my skin gets particular dry during summer.
  • I take 1 fully ripe fresh avocado, remove the skin as well as the seed and mash it up into a creamy pulp in a bowl.
  • I add 1 tablespoon of honey and then mix with the avocado until it turns into a paste.
  • I wash my face before applying my face mask to remove any dirt or cosmetics because clean skin will absorb the avocado mask oil more than having my skin coated with other substance before applying the avocado paste on my face.
  • I apply onto my skin and leave it to set on for about 10-15 minutes and then rinse the mixture thoroughly with lukewarm water, I make sure I dab it dry with a towel.
This is my routine on how I get well-moisturized skin; this routine does wonders for my skin.

Advice
If you are thinking of using an avocado face mask, here are some advices:
  • Use an avocado that yield slightly when squeezed, as this indicates ripeness, because unripe avocado can be difficult to mash for a face mask.
  • Do not use an avocado mask if you have a skin allergy to avocado.
  • Splash your face with cold water after removing the avocado paste, in order to close your skin pores
  • Do not rub your face but Dab with a towel to dry.
  • Avocado can stain fabric, ensure you wear a shirt you are not particular about when applying an avocado face mask.
